Verdict: Given the list of features here, you may be wondering why Music Master Pro is not our top rated product. As with anything, you get what you pay for, and the discount rate (which has now been running for some time) indicates that the quality of the material does not match the quantity. In fact, much of the material is of the quality that you could find for free or very cheaply elsewhere. A feature of the program that works as both a strength and a weakness is its internet reliance. Whilst many DVD, CD, book and software packages can soon become outdated, this internet course is regularly updated. However, it does mean that all the material must be accessed over the internet. This may prove difficult if you have a particularly slow internet connection or would prefer to do your learning away from the computer. As well as tuition for the drums, Music Master Pro contains instruction for guitar and bass. In addition to this, there is access to the company's violin and piano tuition course. This is great if you already try your hand at several different instruments, or if you are in a band that wants material for all the musicians to practice with. It may also be useful for you if you are looking to sample several instruments before deciding which to persevere with. However,your main cost is going to be the instrument itself and therefore this is still going to be expensive. This combined set of courses may seem
like an attractive option, but you miss out on the
details that are necessary to achieve a good playing
style. Ultimately, it comes down to a decision of
quality against quantity. The course is not suitable for
beginners who want detailed playing advice, though it may
provide some interest for the all-around musician looking
